Disclaimer: I do not own Spike or Drusilla, I just wanted to write a poem
about them, and I hope you enjoy it. And just so you know, this may be
pretty stupid, but I just wrote it for the fun of writing it.
The darkness fills the room,
As they lay in each other's arms.
Outside the sky is black and starless,
Just the way they like it.
She lays there stroking his soft hair,
As he rests his head on her chest.
He'd be listening for a heartbeat,
But you don't have one when you're dead.
Even as he lay in the arms of his lover,
He's thinking about someone else.
A certain someone he is not allowed to think about,
A certain someone he can't get out of his head.
He knows it will never be,
They will never be.
For she is the one, chosen from everyone else.
The Slayer.
And he is her worst enemy,
A member of the living dead.
It is her job to kill him, after all,
She's a vampire Slayer.
He tries to get her out of his head,
And tries to focus on the woman stroking his hair.
The woman he loves,
But he also loves the Slayer.
In the end, he's had enough,
He gets up and leaves her alone.
She sits up, a confused look on her face,
As he walks out into the night.
