I wanted to write a poem from Sai's point of view.  I could never get over the fact of how he killed himself because of his passion for Igo.  I thought it was a little overdramatic, but anyhow, this is what came out of it.

The Calling

I wander down into the courtyard

And the moon rises in the pond

The hibiscus bloom and sway

In the sweeping wind

The trees in the garden sway

Heavy with the moonlight

And the air of spring.

The clouds pass over the moon

I remember what it was like

The moon and the stars

Were much brighter

Flowers graced the moon

And gazing into the stars I could see myself

Though I was fallen and afraid.

And as I lay myself in the river to die

I could hear a bell

Ring out once and clear

As it called me back into this world

"Things like this are not finished

And things like this can not be undone in death".

And as I laid myself in the river to die

I heard a call

The moon comes out from the clouds

Something called me out

Drew me like a line

From those dark depths

Something called me

Like a bell

To your heart.

And here I am now with you

The brightest of stars

Even your name is bright like your heart

Which will not give in.

My sunlit passion has not died

Even though I take a different form

I knew.

I loved.

I died.

And things like this are not finished.
