that I do tend to swear a bit. But not so much in the first
chapter. All Im asking is for you to enjoy it. Its short but
its a lead up to other chapters if I get people's interest.

"Where the fuck is she?" He takes off his sunglasses and continues to search around the empty ally way. He knows that he has to find her but he fears to stay in the same place too long. He knows she's not far away but she has eluded him once again. Frustrated, he takes the phone from his pocket and it dials.
A nervous voice in the other end can be heard. "Operator.." "Encrypt you said she'd be here. Now tell me shes late and you didnt lie to me."
"Jex, I think its time we talked. This girl.. you really think shes worth this much to you? Everytime you jack in your risking your life."
"This is not the time Encrypt. I've already told you, she could change everything, now are you going to tell me if you can see her in that fucking code or not?"
"Hold on... my fingers cant go that fast, Jeesh."
For what seems like a lifetime, none of them speak, all that is heard is the tapping of the keys of the console and the nervous breathing of Jex. Finally the silence is broken.
"Encrypt, what is taking so long . Is she here or not?"
"Jex.. the codes gone weird. There's something near you but I cant identify what it is. It may be my inexperience but could that be her?"
"Maybe. It would explain alot" Jex smirks, finally hes caught her. "How close is "it" and where? And quickly Encrypt, I've stayed here too long"
"Go down the alley and turn left. Find a ladder and take it to the roof. That's were the code gets weird. Jex, you sure its her, what if its just Agents screwing up the code?"
"We wont know if we dont go and find out." He hangs up and puts the phone back in his jeans pocket. He runs full speed to the end of the alley and searchs for the ladder. He doesnt know what hes expecting but he knows hes got to get there fast or it might be too late. Eventually he finds it. The exhaustian of the night doesnt seem to phase him as he climbs faster and faster to the top of the never-ending ladder. He smirks as he reaches the end of the ladder. His quest could be over at last and eagerly he jumps over the last rung of the ladder.
