A/N: Being the Amelia/Doppler fan that I am I just had to write a little drabble about them. Enjoy!

"Doctor, you've the most brilliant eyes." She said.

"She's lost her mind!" I'd said.

What else could I have said? She hadn't ever given me a soft kind word like that during this whole voyage. Clearly, she was addled from her wound. Yes, that was it, I thought as I looked down at her as she lay there on the floor in her sharp close fitting captain's suit. She really did look fairly fabulous in it.

I sighed. How ironic it is that I, Dr. Dilbert Doppler, could do nothing for her. Sure, I'm highly educated with a doctorate to boot, but what good was it when I could not help her, be of use to her, heal her.

There was one thing I COULD do ... however.

I gently shifted her and moved her just so that she was in my arms and I could cover her with my expertly tailored coat, in an effort to keep her warm and safe.

"Thank you, Doctor." She'd said.

"You're more than welcome, Captain." I'd said.
