A flash of silver
Then unbearable pain
I silently cursed myself for it
For not seeing what was coming
Quick and decisive as the blow was
Yet I still cursed myself
I stared at the hated face in front of me
My vision darkened around the edges
My energy drained slowly out of me
I was dying and I knew it
Yet I still fought
Even if it was in vain
I refused to be beaten by some "Ghost"
He was muttering something now
Something about his sons
But I was too busy fighting my agony and death to hear
Then he plunged something into my throat
More pain shot up from every corner of my body
Death was coming and I knew it
But before it came I cursed my foe
Damning him for what he had put me through
Damning him for humiliating me
Damning him for thwarting my plans
Then as Death descended I let the darkness consume me
Knowing and admitting for the first time
I didn't win the battle
Then unbearable pain
I silently cursed myself for it
For not seeing what was coming
Quick and decisive as the blow was
Yet I still cursed myself
I stared at the hated face in front of me
My vision darkened around the edges
My energy drained slowly out of me
I was dying and I knew it
Yet I still fought
Even if it was in vain
I refused to be beaten by some "Ghost"
He was muttering something now
Something about his sons
But I was too busy fighting my agony and death to hear
Then he plunged something into my throat
More pain shot up from every corner of my body
