I looked up, blood dripping from my body. My legs had been mutilated so
badly that I could not walk, and had to lean on my glaive for support.
Dead. They were all gone. I was the only one left, and I had to protect the
princess, it was my sworn duty. I am Saturn, Messiah of Silence, bringer of
death and destruction, but there is also rebirth. The child within me knows
my duty, but wants ever so much to run. Though I knew if I switched
positions with her and let her take control, she would not. My princess is
her friend.
In a bright flash the soldier of Pluto, guardian of time, stood stiffly infront of me. Her eyes held hidden sadness, and were solemn. "Saturn...Hota-chan, it is time. You know what you must do." The princess gasped, looking up from her fetile position on the ground."No, Setsuna....it can't be. We can bring the back, they will be reborn....it isn't time for the silence yet, is it?..." Her lip trembled, but she was brave.Everyone was afriad, the princess should be no diffrent. Fear is not a weakness, but a strength. "I'm afraid so, Usagi...it is time. Soon you will be Queen, but first Saturn must bring silence, death, rebirth."
I shivered, also afraid of what I must do. After all, I am not perfect. The child is a part of me now, and makes me feel emotions I did not before. In a way I am greatful for the part of me that is known as Hotaru Tomoe. I looked at Pluto....no, Setsuna, my mentor and adoptive mother. "Are you positive, Setsuna-mama?" I hear myself speak the childs name for her. It's funny how she's me, and yet not. "I'm positive, Hota...It's time. Are you ready?"
"Yes...if you are sure..." My eyes went blank and icy, hard as stone, set in determination. She could not stop me now... it was the end.. and yet the beginning. I gripped my glaive tightly, no longer feeling the pain from my severe wounds that had ached so before. Black energy crackled around me. I took one last glance at all the bodies of my beloved friends, and then at Setsuna and Usagi. I could tell they were afraid, very afraid, but both looked serious and knew what was to come.
"The word shall suffer the wrath of Saturn. This is the beginning, let all know pain and sadness. I am sorry, but this is my duty. I call upon my powers for the benfeit of the future, because of the present, and the sorrow of the past. Please hear me, gods shall feel my pain in heaven!" I screamed, bringing my glaive over my head. My energy crackled for miles, destroying everything in its path, tearing the world apart piece by piece. My eyes had gone completely blank now, black obscurring my vision. With all of my strengh, I brought the blade of my glaive into what was left of the soil under my feet.
And it was end of the past, and the start of the future. Let all know the wrath of Saturn.
