Chapter 1

Another summer had passed. Harry and his friends were on the Hogwarts Express embarking on their seventh and final year as Hogwarts students. Harry should have felt relieved at the thought of escaping his Aunt and Uncle, but instead he was anxious. The war with the deatheaters was in progress and he knew he wouldn't be able to rest until Voldemort was stopped. Ron and Hermione, who had become a lot closer over the summer seemed to sense Harry's distressed state. Although they were a bit old for chocolate frogs, Ron opened one up, and the frog leaped onto Harry's head. This caused Harry to crack a smile. "That's it" said Ron. "The silence in here was positively deafening". "Harry has a lot on his mind Ron. As we all do", piped up Hermione. She took Ron's hand and squeezed it. Draco Malfoy suddenly popped his head in their compartment and flipped them the bird. "Nice to see some of us have matured over the summer" Hermione called out down the corrider. That's how the trip went, just the usual. Everything seemed pretty usual. Harry was a bit tired, and he went off to bed as soon as they reached the school. He missed bed and the sorting hat ceremony.

The next day Harry was making his way to his Defense Against the Dark Arts class. He had been looking forward to it all summer. Because of the war, Dumbledore had brought Professor Lupin back. He felt it would be in the best interest of safety for the students. Harry took his seat. A stunning female he had never laid eyes on entered the classroom. She had piercing green eyes and pale blonde hair that reached her waist. He leaned over th Ron, "Ron, who is that?" "Oh, that's Aurora Laudra. She is a transfer. Was sorted into Slytherin, and promised to marry Malfoy the summer after graduation". Harry made a face, and tunred to glance at her a second time. "She's beautiful. Pity. What a waste." Then Professor Lupin walked in and the lesson began.
