The Drone of a Lonely Stave
Sephiroth's monologue

The world weeps as I stand here waiting.
Waiting for you and your divine power.
My dreams have crumbled under Her hands,
My dreams no longer belong to me,
They have been twisted, manipulated, darkened.
I never wanted to cause pain or suffering.
I wanted to release you all.
The way in which only I could.

Find me.

I haven't moved, haven't dreamt.
I am but a statue in flesh, watching my world being wrecked.
My people wanted me to help them.
In turn all I did was destroy them.
Their screams echo in my tomb of disdain.
It is torture.
She laughs at me, at you.
Laughs with the pitch of a demon.
She's the one, who did all this,
And I was the puppet in which it was all conducted.
A lifeless cipher with nothing his own.

I am powerful, I am a god, and I am your only release.
You must free me, and in debt I will release you.
Brother we are in this fate together,
Trapped in Her wish we will both fail.
Release me.
This land is dying it's only fate is death.
It is we who can heal it now. Life is its destiny.
I will take its power and recreate a purer land.
This is the wish of the planet.
Ask it.
It moans at me, it wants me to help.
As it's prisoner I have no choice.

Meteor. The earth's pity.
The only thing my ancestors left upon this land.
The black power that will release this world.

I wanted to free the world, and help it rebuild.
It was Her who didn't.
Now it is up to you my brother,
Destroy her. Destroy Her mind and Her will that lies upon us both.
You can free all your anger upon her,
It was her who killed our love, the planets only daughter.
Our last hope, together she and I could revive the lost race.
And together you and she.
You could have saved this planet from Her wrath.
Like a lost sister she could understand the screams.
She didn't wince at its pain.
Weep at its sorrows.
She listened.
In hope.

Feel.

Your anger, your sorrow, your faith.
Your friends are your support.
Let them guide you to me,
They only feel hate towards me, hate is stronger than love.
It will guide you.
My pain is too much, my fate too strong to deny.
You are my surpasser, but only in your will.
Together we could have built our dreams.
Together we could have been unbeatable.
But you feel no love for me.

This dream of yours will end and I will be its epilogue.
The end of an age, The end of our era.
People will remember you as a martyr.
And me as a villain.
It is Her, who hates the earth and its people,
Not i.
Please remember me as the child I am.
I have never grown out of this case that I was built in.
An iron cage of orders.
Why was I built from the greed of others?

I envy you all for your freedom, that's all I want.
