The "Reborn" Deck.
Chapter 1
"I flip my magician of faith into attack mode. I then use it's effect to bring back Monster reborn! I activate monster reborn to summon my blue eyes white dr…" Johnny was interrupted.
"Not so fast!" His brother replied. "I activate this trap card, Magic Jammer!
"Smart move, but not smart enough! I activate seven tools of the bandit! Taking my life points down to 900! Negating your magic jammer! Exclaimed Johnny, Flipping over his card.
"This was a good duel," his brother said "but I am sorry to end it like this! I also activate seven tools of the bandit!"
"I doubt it will be finished by you! That takes your life points down to 300. I can just attack with magician of faith and wipe out the rest of your life points anyway! Ha ha ha!" Chuckled Johnny. "I might have finally beaten you!"
"Not quite" Replied his brother. "I also activate another trap card! Barrel behind the door! Its not me that receives the damage now, its YOU!"
"NO!" Cried Johnny!
"I win." Said his brother.
"I was so close to finally beating you!"
"I thought you were going to win as well. Bringing things back from the graveyard is a very good strategy. A tournament is being held soon. If you just improve your deck slightly, you could have a chance of winning."
"Ok. I hear lots of famous duellists are entering. Maybe if I enter, I could try and beat some of my duelling heroes." Exclaimed Johnny.
"Maybe. But try and remember every duel you have. It will be a guide for in the future. That includes remembering this one." Said his brother.
"Will do," Replied Johnny as he ran upstairs and took out his cards.
'Ok' he thought. 'My brother mentioned bringing things back from the graveyard. What cards are useful for doing that?'
Johnny spent the rest of the night adding extra cards like mask of darkness and more magicians of faiths.
'Remember your duels' He thought.
"Huh?" he whispered while adding some basic monsters just for strength.
"I will," he whispered to himself.
He added one last card.
'My brother used it, so why shouldn't I?' He thought.
He added a barrel behind the door to his deck.
Slowly, he got up and went to bed.
The next day, he went downstairs and signed up for the tournament.
'I need to practise' he thought. 'But I cant just keep duelling my brother. I need to duel someone new.
There will be lots of people in the duelling club! But if I lose, I will have to give them one of my best cards.
But…if I cant beat someone in a duelling club, how am I ever going to beat anybody in a tournament?'
"Mum! I'm going to the duelling club! I'll be back as soon as possible!" He shouted.
Closing the door, he ran outside.
When he arrived at the duelling club, he remembered the changes he had made to his deck the night before. 'Oh yeah. I forgot about the changes! I'm just going to have to trust in my deck to win!' Johnny thought.
The first person to walk up to him was a teenager called Robert.
"Hey, Dude! Are you here just to watch or are you here to duel, you know!"
"I…I'm here to duel. Um… Yo." Johnny replied.
'Rob must be an excellent duellist. He has a separate pocket in his bag just for his winnings.'
"I'm sorry, but I don't want to duel you. I'm not very good." Explained Johnny.
"DUDE! You cant back out now! Unless you forfeit, we have to duel, Man!" Shouted Rob.
"FINE!" Replied Johnny. "ITS TIME TO DUEL!!!"
Will Johnny beat Robert (Dude! J) or will he lose his best cards? Find out in chapter 2!!
(I sound like a T.V presenter! Maybe 'To be continued' would be better. Yes. I will use it.
It gives more suspense!)
