March

Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon. Sailor Apocalypse, Sailor Space, Sailor Time, and Sailor Death are mine, although Space, Time, and Death's civilian identities are from SM.
Warning: Pseudo-shoujo-ai, but it's excusable.
I stare at the cauldron. Too much time passed since I last stood here. Back then, I was just Sailor Moon and then at one time Sailor Chibi Chibi. Now…
"Sailor Cosmos." Sailor Apocalypse stepped next to me. "Still out here." It was not a question, it was a statement.
"Still out here."
We stared at the swirls of light in the Cauldron. If I looked closely, I could see my senshi. Such a shame they could not be reborn.
"They chose not to be reborn. They'd rather stay here with you than be reborn and lose you."
I forgot. Sailor Apocalypse can read minds.
"And besides, you still have Hotaru, and ChibiUsa, and Endymion…"
"So what?" I yelled. "They're my friends and I can't even talk to them! ChibiUsa is too busy fulfilling her duties as Sailor Time to even see me! And Mamoru…" here I started to cry, "I can't love Sailor Space the same way I loved Mamoru! She may be him reborn, but she's not him!!" I sat on the ground and cried my heart out.
Sailor Apocalypse kept her stoic face and knelt down next to me. "Usagi…" I picked up my head. "I know you miss your senshi. I've had senshi too; do you think I don't miss them? But I've learned to continue to march alone, with my senshi only in spirit."
"March alone?" I started bawling again. "Alone!"
"You're not alone!" Sailor Apocalypse grabbed my shoulders and steadied me. "You. Are. Not. Alone. Think of Sailor Death."
My tears slowed. "Hotaru…"
"Think of Sailor Time. Your own daughter. She still loves you. Her job's just a bit more taxing than yours."
My eyes blinked. "ChibiUsa. She can't help her role, can't she."
"And Sailor Space." I opened my mouth to retort, but she cut me off. "You say she's not Mamoru, but she still has his spirit. He was willing to take a girl's body to be with you. Only someone who truly loves you would do that. He loves you! Even if he's a girl now, he still loves you!!!"
I thought of that. Mamoru still loved me. And I couldn't see past the body.
"You're right." I got up. "I can't keep being blind and distraught. I must go on."
"That sounds more like the Princess Serenity of legend. Come on, Sailor Time will enjoy a visit from her parents."
I marched through the doors of the Cauldron, ready to face the universe.
