This story doesn't follow the original Dragonball Z timeline.
~PROLOGUE~ Vegeta came to earth when he was 6. He did not lose his Saiyan programming but he did decide not to kill. He stayed on earth for 7 years and then had to return to his father. But before he left he fell in love with Bulma. They made a pact, swearing they would never love another and they would wait for each other.
After a short time with the other Saiyans, Vegeta becomes his old self and goes back to killing and purging planets. This change did come with a price though. His heart is now closed off to emotion. The doors are locked and only Bulma holds the key.
Sadly, all family and friends betray Vegeta, including his sister. On a mission to planet Kamasaki, they trick him and attempt to kill him. He is left to die. He doesn't have much memory of what happened after they left, for there was a huge explosion, which destroyed the planet. He is found by a group of kind-hearted, psychic aliens. They read his mind and learn of his love for Bulma. They put him in a pod and send him back to earth. Now Vegeta has to face his past and learn to become who he once was, learn to trust once again. And for his family, get REVENGE!
CHAPTER 1-ECHO OF THE PAST.
As Vegeta steps out of his ship, he takes in a breath of the fresh air he so desperately missed. So many things had changed since he last saw them. There were more cities and ships than before. He took everything into account and flew off, headed toward Capsule Corp. As he flies over the treetops he sees Goku and a young Gohan training.
"Hey, Vegeta!!!" Goku yells. "Dad, is that the friend you told me about?" "That's him alright." Goku speaks in a slow voice "Lets go catch him and tell him about the accident with Bulma. He won't be too happy."
They take off and catch up with Vegeta. Soon they fly up beside him.
"Hey, Vegeta! It's good to see you again. You wanna go spar?" Goku tries to delay what he has to tell him.
"No. Not now. I want to see Bulma."
In a low, slow voice Goku tells him the inevitable. "Slow down man.I need to tell you something about that."
Vegeta stopped in mid-air. He knew something was wrong.
"There was an accident with Bulma..." Goku pauses
"WHAT WAS IT??" Vegeta yells
