Stolen Moment

A/N: This was inspired by Romana's fic, 'Marking', but only the premise. The rest is all mine. Well, actually, the characters and universe belong to the wonderful JKR. Everything else is mine.

She didn't even look up from her marking when a bird fluttered in the window. "I'm busy." A soft hoot was the only reply. "Not today."

Silence, and then a step upon the carpet behind her before warm hands descended on her shoulders. "Are you sure, my dear?"

She didn't stir, even when long fingers began kneading her shoulders. "I'm sure, Albus. I wouldn't be surprised if you have paperwork to take care of yourself."

Warm lips pressed against the side of her neck just behind her ear, causing a shiver to dance down her spine in spite of herself. "Well, yes, but I'd rather take care of some...personal business."

She tried to scrunch away from him, but he was a solid presence behind her and her desk was in front of her. "Albus, this is not the time or place for this type of nonsense."

Deft hands plucked the pins from her hair, causing it to tumble down her back in a mass of ebony. "I would hardly call this nonsense, my dear."

She bit back a sigh of pleasure as those same deft fingers began massaging her scalp. "Mmm."

She could almost hear the smile in his voice when he spoke, his fingers still massaging her scalp. "Does that mean you're not busy after all?" Her only response was to lean into the massage. He chuckled. "I suppose that's a yes."

She tilted her head back and lazily opened her eyes. "Albus, you know me far too well."

He leaned forward and kissed her softly. "And you know me just as well as I know you."

She nodded, her eyes unfocused. "Hmm, yes, you have a point."

He smiled and kissed her again, longer and deeper this time. Just as she reached for him, a knock sounded on her office door. "Well, you're busy, my dear, so I shall leave you."

Kissing her one last time, he straightened and a handsome screech owl balanced briefly on her outstretched arm before taking off out the window. Repinning her hair and smoothing her robes, Minerva McGonagall turned to the door. "Come in."
