FOX TEARS
I'm sitting on my favourite swing, the same one that I was sitting on when I watched
everyone else graduate, and staring sadly at the ground silently hoping that it would give me
some form of pity. But it can't. I lifted my head and glaced around, the area was empty.
I wished there were at least a few kids here to play with or to talk to, not like any of
them would talk to me anyways. After all I am "Nine-tails" the fox demon that destroyed Konoha,
not some little kid namedNaruto. I've gotten used to being alone so much, but today of
all days I don't want to be alone. Why? It's my birthday of course...but no one cares do they.
All I am to people is either a demon or an idiot. Even today's training session wasn't
any different. It was the usual routine, being showed up by a boy who seems to be good at
everything, having feelings rejected by a girl that I have a huge crush on, and being
ignored by a perverted book reading teacher. Throughout all that, not one
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY NARUTO!" or "I got you a present Naruto!" Nothing. Not that it mattered anyway,
after all I have no family and not very many people consider me a "friend."
Usually when I sleep, I dream about a home filled with warm laughter and warmth but then I
wake up, and the house is so quiet and empty. It reminds me of how alone I truly
am. I feel my eyes getting moist and I try to hold the tears back, but to no avail.
Several crystal tears roll down my whiskered cheek. I am trying so hard not to cry but
i'm losing that battle. A choked sob makes its way out from my throat and past my
chapped lips. I can't hold it in anymore. I finally bury my head in my hands and let my emotions go.
It's timethat I finally shed my fox tears.
