Release
Chapter 2: Oops. I ran into an idiot.
"Who were you dreaming about anyway?" asked Marietta as the two left the classroom.
"No one." Cho replied, quickly losing her temper.
Why doesn't she shut up already? She's always in other people's business.
Cho thought.
"Was it Cedric?" Marietta began again.
Cho didn't respond, but by the look in her eyes, Marietta knew that she was annoyed.
"Marietta, just shut up." Cho muttered, leaving her friend behind.
She dashed through the hallways trying to release the thought of Cedric. His strong arms were always around her, and the sweet things he whispered in her ear always brought a smile to her face.
She couldn't take it anymore. She needed comfort. She knew she couldn't talk to Marietta. She just wouldn't understand. Harry didn't even seem to understand the way she felt.
"What are you doing here, Chang?"
Cho turned around with tears swelling up in her eyes. There he stood, tall and slender. His gray eyes seemed to pierce hers completely, searching beneath her soul and viewing the most hidden feelings stored in her fragile heart. Her eyes stopped at his lips. She scoffed at how they immediately formed a smirk. Cho hated him. Draco Malfoy always seemed to suck the joy out of everything.
"What's the matter with you? Are you running away because scar-head broke your heart again?"
"Fuck you, Malfoy."
Cho looked around. How was she in the dungeons? She ran that far?
"I wouldn't speak to a prefect so harshly, Chang."
He replied coldy.
Prefect? That stupid fifth year idiot always hanging around Crabbe and Goyle? There's no way.
She thought to herself.
"Prefect my ass, Malfoy" Cho said carelessly.
"You had no right to talk to me the way you did."
Draco sneered, obviously not caring to what she said. His cold, glittery eyes examined the pretty Ravenclaw.
"Besides, I'm not dating Harry."
Draco didn't pay attention. Cho rolled her eyes.
He's too stupid to respond. He's hopeless.
Cho thought again.
I'm leaving." Cho muttered as she turned around and began walking in the opposite direction.
"Wait." Malfoy called out.
Cho stopped, but didn't bother to turn around.
"So you're not dating Potter?" He asked.
Cho sensed a bit of interest in his voice, but she began walking again, completely careless.
Draco watched her fade away into complete darkness.
