Okay this is a poem I wrote for creative writing and it is supposed to be an alphabet poem. That means that the first words start with A then B then etc… it was kind of hard and some of the words you might not know (I searched frantically in the dictionary for any words that I could use ^__~). But I have an explanation on the bottom, lol, just like AP English where I have to deconstruct the stupid poems we get…hehe.
Battousai's Death
A beautiful crimson death,
Echoing ferocious grin.
Haloed in journeyed kill,
Languid, much nonchalance
On performance.
Quiet' 'round stained
Top underlies valediction
Whirling xiphoid. . .
Yes, zen.
Okay, this is a situation I made up when Rurouni Kenshin was still the assassin. This time, however, he dies in battle. The first two lines describe his death, and his expression on his face. Haloed means his aura, his aura is 'red' from all the deaths he has caused. The fourth line talks about his sword fighting, that it's very supple and smooth. Quiet is talking about how the scene is suddenly quiet, like in the anime books where the characters are in shock and the artist makes the wind blow to emphasize the stillness. 'Round stained top underlies valediction means that underneath his bloodied shirt, his heart is bidding farewell to his life (valediction means bidding farewell). Whirling xiphoid describes the sword as it plunges into his chest (xiphoid means resembling a sword) and yes, zen, means how he has achieved peace now that he is dying. Okay, so whaddya think?
