Title: He Deserves
Author: Krissy
Pairing: Piper/Leo
Summary: Piper reflects on what Wyatt needs. Mild spoilers for the season five finalee.
She tried to keep the hate from seeping into her. It was such a black emotion, and she was so pure and blissful, and Wyatt deserved someone who would never succumb to such things. He deserved a mother full of sunshine and smiles, and reassuring words in the middle of the night when he wailed for attention. He deserved a mother who could bake him cookies, and read fairy tales for story time, and tuck him into bed without worrying if someone will try and sneak into his room in the middle of the night.
He deserved to be able to meet his grandmother, and his aunt Prue, and his great grandmother. He'd never get to be spoiled by them, and told how cute he was when he was born, and be told "My, you're getting so big!" He'd never get to hug them, or cringe away from a kiss on the cheek, and they'd never get to see him grow from a baby into a man just like his father.
He deserved so much she couldn't give to him.
He deserved his father.
And she hated how she couldn't give him that. She hated how she couldn't give herself that.
They both deserved so much, but especially Wyatt.
He deserved to know the family he'd never get.
And she deserved the future she'd never get.
