Disclaimer: Yeah right- like I even need to put one. I DO NOT own LOTR or any Middle Earth related things. Wish I did though, but don't we all? The only things are own are the original characters and the plot.

A World Without Pain
Prologue:

As I spent my days here in this hovel, for I do not think it deserves the name town, I began to realize something: I was not right. However odd that may sound it is true. I did not fit in with anyone or anything, nor ever felt as if I belonged. I thought about killing myself . . . oh how many times I cannot fathom, but I had not the courage to do so. My brother was the only thing that kept me sane. Or should I say my adopted brother, me being the adopted child. Strangely enough he adopted me by himself, wanting someone to ease the pain of loneliness. I guess he didn't realize just how much I would need him to keep me from falling into the agonizing darkness that threatened us both. This day we found ourselves in the forest, escaping from the harsh reality that was our life. As we looked upon the waterfall, we both started feeling slightly woozy, and wondered if the water we had drunken was some how tainted. Then we both gave into the enveloping blackness, where we would wake to find a world from a dream.

Preview of next chapter:
I felt the world slowly coming back to me. I knew then, that I was not dead, and felt oddly disappointed. I slowly opened my eyes and let the world come back into focus. That was when I noticed the face hovering above me . . .

Well, should I continue? Review!
