Disclaimer's- I don't own it. But the character Muna is mine.
Author's Notes- I'm so sorry for the delays but I had to work and things like that. But enjoy this chapter okay? And please review. I want this story to get past 50 reviews by my 5th chapter at least.

It's been over a year since Muna had left. After that fateful day where Muna had left, Hiei had never been the same. Hiei walked in a dark alley tracking down the demon. Everyday of that year, Hiei was out late slaying demons, it was his escape from the pain. His eyes had shifted a little, tinted with love and raw pain.
He clutched his sword in his hands with his red eyes scanning around. The demon he was tracking down was a demon who took over forms of dead humans and hunted their preys until they were weak enough to think that they had gone crazy. But with Hiei, it never worked because Kira had told him the truth about Muna. Muna had two lives, a life in a human form with a few of her demon powers and than another form as her demon.
Suddenly the demon screamed and Hiei looked up. He saw a figure with a thin outline with a sword stained with blood in the moonlight. But it couldn't be?
"Muna..." He whispered. She looked up to meet his eyes and the moonlight washed over her. Her hair had grown past her knees. She looked like a normal human in her demon form and she looked like a young teenager.
"Hey, Hiei." She said as if nothing over the year bothered her. But in reality it did. The pain she felt pysically and mentally was so unbearable that she was on the edge of dying when she returned back to her chambers in Spirit World. A month had pasted after that and she hadn't even left her spot from where she had fallen in pain. Kira had came and healed her which she was grateful for but than she started busing herself with work for protecting her dragons.
And then she got this call where she was going to have to become Yusuke's partner in Spirit dectivie. And she had been in the shadows giving Yusuke a normal life for a while. But she had to be careful as well.
"Where have you been over the year?" Hiei asked breaking the silence between them.
"Back home. The dragons have been stirring up trouble so I've been needing to pile them back. And just a few months ago, I've become a Spirit Detective. And you?" Muna replied.
A minute dragged out. He didn't know how to answer her. Tell her what that he has been killing demons over the year and being nasty to whoever came near him.
"Nothing but keeping an eye on that baka, Yusuke."
" Oh. Are you okay?" She asked suddenly.
"What do you mean by that?"
There was two sides to her question. One being how he was dealing with her after she left and the other about him being okay being with the baka, Yusuke and being a Spirit Detective. He seemed to read her mind because he answered her, easing her worries.
"I've been fine over the year and no, I don't mind you helping Yusuke. That baka needs all the help he can get even with 100 demons behind him." Hiei replied recieving a giggle from Muna. It seemed to light up his world, her small laugh that only lasted a few seconds.
"Come on, I think everyone would be a bit happy seeing you, Muna."
"Are you sure? I mean I think Yusuke would be pretty upset if he finds out he has a partner to work with him, espeacially a demon and a girl, if I may add." Muna replied.
And that was how their story began. Becuase it wasn't going to be simply a happy renioun. It was going to be a twisted game of hearts and emotions and maybe, if they weren't strong enough to face it, one of them was sure to die.
TBC.
