Amelia carefully walked up behind the sitting redhead. With out warning she jumped in front of her. "BOO!"
The redhead, a woman by the name of Lina Inverse, simply checked her nails, quite irritated. "What do you want?"
Amelia took a seat beside her. "You run my baseball team?"
Lina chuckled slightly, but not as though it was humorous. "Yeah,"
"Well, I think I should know the names of my baseball team," Lina turned her head and look away. "Don't you agree?"
She shrugged. "I guess,"
Amelia bit the inside of her cheek to keep from shouting. "So, what're their names?"
Lina looked at Amelia. "Well, Who's on first, What's on second, and I Don't Know's on third."
Amelia stood up. "Well, what're you asking me for?"
Lina shrugged. "You wanted to know,"
"And I still do!" Amelia huffed, and told herself to be calm. "Look, when the ball goes to first base, the guys who catches it, what's his name?"
"Who,"
"The guy on first base,"
"Who,"
"Well, I don't know! What are you asking me for?"
"Oh no, I Don't Know's on third,"
Amelia once again bit her cheek. "You gotta catcher?"
Lina shrugged. "Yeah,"
"What's the catcher's name?"
"Look, I told you, What's on second!"
"I don't know!"
"Third base!" Both chorus. Amelia began to pace.
"Alright," Amelia said. "The catcher, his name is…?"
"Tomorrow," Lina said.
"You'll tell me tomorrow?"
"I'm telling you now,"
Amelia sat down again. "What time?"
"What do you mean?"
"What time tomorrow are you going to tell me the catcher's name?"
"Look, I'm telling you now!"
Amelia huffed again. "You gotta pitcher?"
Lina rolled her eyes. "Of course,"
"What is his name?"
"Today,"
"So you'll tell me today?"
"I'm telling you now."
Amelia took a deep breath and noted the irritated look on Lina's face. "Okay, let's say I'm one of the infielders… and a ball comes my way. I catch it. And I throw the ball to who on first base?"
"Naturally."
"Who's on first base?"
Naturally,"
Amelia stood again and began to pace. "So I throw the ball to Naturally,"
"Oh no! You throw the ball to Who."
"I don't know!"
"THIRD BASE!" Both shouted.
Amelia was sick of this little game. "Look, I don't know who's on first, what's on second, or who's on third, and I don't give a darn!" She stomped her foot.
Lina turned to look at Amelia. "What did you say?"
"I don't give a darn!" Amelia stomped her foot again.
"Oh, he's our short stop."
End!
