Chapter 1: My Favorite Nurse
Nick Cooper had to make a descion today, was he going to stay at County or not? He could only think of posotive reasons, nothing bad. He liked the surroundings, the people were nice, the docotors were nice as well as the nurses, they had no problem with his asthma and of course Abby. He didn't really know Abby well. But there was something about her he liked. Was it her smile? Was her eyes? Or was it just her personality? He could never decide on this, but he could, however, decide he wanted to stay at County.

When he arrived at work, people were already trying to give him charts and patients before he got his coat off.
"Hey Cooper, I'm glad you decided to stay at County but please, don't take your time! We are really busy today and we need help so hurry!" Susan yelled as she ran down to Trauma 2.
Abby handed Cooper a chart, "Here you go, possible kidney stone, Curtain 2. Grab a nurse when you need one."
"Uh, I need a nurse, " he said as he smiled at her.
"Don't tell me!"
"You're a nurse."
"There are more than one nurse in this ER."
"What if I told you you were my favorite?" Cooper said smiling. He had charm in his smile.
Abby took it as a joke, but then wasn't sure what to say. "Uh, well thank you, but I'm not a nurse today, med student."
"I see, so that explains why you have a nurse's uniform on and the I.D says Abby Lockhart R.N?"
Abby looked embarrassed, "Um, sorry. Look I am busy, I'll get you some help in a minute, " she said as she walked away.

"Susan?" Abby asked as she walked into Trauma 2.
"Yes?"
"Uh, I think Cooper was just flirting with me."
"So?"
"Um, I don't even, know him. Well I do, he's cute, he has a good personality and he is a good doctor-"
Susan just started coughing out of nowhere.
"What?"
"Why are you so worried if you have a crush on him yourself?"
"I don't, well I do, well I-"
"Let me help you. You do."
"Well fine, I do but what about Carter?"
"What about him? He's in Africa, you both didn't seem to want to be together anymore. I know he is still you friend, but frankly, I don't think you should worry about him. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a girlfriend."
"True."
"So why don't you leave, I have enough help here. Go help Dr. Cooper."
"Susan, what's his first name?"
"Abby you have a crush on the guy an dyou don't even know his first name?"
"WEll, uh, yeah."
"Nick, Abby, it's Nick."
"Thank you."
"Your Welcome."
"What's with it and doctors having their last name be their nickname?"
"What's with it when you're still here?"
"Ok, I'm going."
"Be nice ," Susan smiled as Abby left to help Cooper.
