A Romance at Hogwarts

"Did you hear something, Mrs. Norris?" Filch limped over to where his feline had been eagerly mewing.

No, you evil twit of a master. Now go away! Unfortunately for Mrs. Norris, her ability to speak was hindered by her vocal structure, so what was supposed to be an insult came out as an innocent meow.

"You want me to pick you up, don't you?" Filch interpreted the cat. "Ok, but I will blame it on you if my back goes out again."

Blame me all you want, you vexingly useless man. Leave me alone, I say. Mrs. Norris was then picked up, and uncomfortably held to a stinky old vest that had obviously not been washed for several weeks.

"Did you hear some students? You did, didn't you?"

You are insane, idiotic, stinky, and an amazingly dim man. Now leave me alone or I shall spoil your vest!

"Don't you worry, Mrs. Norris. We'll get whoever's here. Where'd you see them?"

Do you seriously expect me to answer? That's it! And with that, a small trickle of liquid made its way onto Hogwart's caretaker's vest.

"What the-! You stupid cat!" Once Filch had put the poor cat down, she raced away. "If you wanted to go, you could've just said something."

Finally The cat said. Now, where'd he go? When Mrs. Norris had been mewing so eagerly before, she had really been looking for a certain someone. The feline minx had seen him around the kitchens, begging for extra food. They had only exchanged words briefly, but Mrs. Norris was sure she was in love.

Mew?

Mrs. Norris stopped. Could it be him? She dared to hope. Mew? She answered back. Her cat ears caught the sound of padded feet lightly making its way towards her. Her heart pounded in her furry chest. As she rounded the corner, she saw him there. His beautiful orange coat shined in the moonlight and his tail twitched in excitement.

I.I had hoped you would be here. Crookshanks stumbled. Mrs. Norris's heart leaped, and she walked deftly towards him.

Hello, Crookshanks. She purred loudly. He grinned and walked over to rub up against her in a very cat-like manner.

Mrs. Norris? He asked nervously.

Call me Agnes. She smiled at him (or at least she smiled as much as a cat can smile).

Agnes. I made a poem for you. He looked for her reaction.

Oh, Crookshanks, you shouldn't have! Said a delighted Mrs. Norris. She settled herself down to listen to the *hopefully* enjoyable poem.

Oh, you lovely cat, You broke my heart With the force of the bat. I love the way to swish your tail And your eyes remind me of a fairytale. Your magical voice speaks a thousand words But there are three that I haven't heard. So perhaps I should be the first to say it true, That Mrs. Norris, I love you.

Oh, Crooksie, it was beautiful! She cried. She then prepared to rush off with her newly beloved, when a voice rang out.

Mrs. Norris? Where are you, my dear?"

Oh, drat it! It's morning. My idiotic owner will be wanting me. Mrs. Norris was torn between an early morning stroll and her master.

Well, I.I guess I'm off, then. Crookshanks said reluctantly. Before Mrs. Norris could ask him to stay, he had rushed off.

"There you are, Mrs. Norris. Come on, now. Time for breakfast."
