You can interpret this in any way you like. Be it Fuuma's thoughts,
Seishirou's, or even Subaru after he joined the dragons of the earth.

Irony in Itself
Sometimes it's meaningless to ask
Sometimes it's useless to hope
Such optimism
Such idealism
Wake up from dreamland
Face harsh reality
And die in the face of utter cruelty

People rarely care
If they do
It's just a façade
Nothing more
Illusions are fake
Generated for a false sense of security
To sink into and never emerge

Sometimes it's happiness to know
Sometimes it's joyous to care
Such pessimism
Such realism
Drift into the clouds
Stay there for eternity
And never know the truth

-end-

Note: I don't expect any reviews from this but I'll just like to explain
the poem a little more. It's a contradiction in the first and third stanza.
They are slightly similar, mirroring each other but in the opposite manner.
"Optimism" and "idealism" is the opposite of the depressive nature of the
first stanza. That's where the irony comes into play. At the end of the
first and third stanza, the consequences of a person's choice; to face up
to reality or to live in disillusioned "happiness" both have bad endings.
The narrator is angry at humanity in general and thinks that nothing much
is real save for realism itself.
Thanks for taking the time to read. If you did, then you might as well
review. Just one line would make my day. ^^
