Naraku crept up to Kagome and took the shards also slitting her throat. He smirked and let out a soft cackle. He went up to InuYasha and was about to cease him but his faithful ears and nose led him to be awake. Naraku vanished cackling. InuYasha found confused tears running down his cheeks as he embraced his love. Kagome lay in his arms, pale, and dead. Miroku, Sango, and Shippou broke into tears, Kirara mewing for Kagome to wake up.
A few weeks later, InuYasha was roaming the forest still grieving. A slender femminine feline-hanyou approached him with caution. InuYasha was about to sheathe his sword. The hanyou's bright ice blue warm yet depressed eyes met his cold and mourning eyes. "Eh?" She said, InuYasha giving her a confused look. "Who are you?" He asked demandingly. She bowed with respect "I am simply Skye," She said that cheerily. "And who may I ask are you?". "I am InuYasha," "Pleasure to meet you Inu-mun." "Err.. Pleasure meeting you too Skye-chan." He blinked and thought. Wasn't he supposed to chase her? Wasn't she supposed to cower and hiss over a Dog-demon such as him? Why was she like this, and who was she to not even glare at him! He got pissed and gowled softly. "Hm?" She said that with curiosity. "Nevermind," He stopped growling and looked away "You can follow me." She nodded as he walked towards the rest of the group.
After a few minutes she found herself surrounded by them all, tugging at her ears and tail saying sorry whenever they hurt her. InuYasha just sat sulking in a corner. Miroku grabbed Skye's ass as she clawed him and hissed sharply. He then took her hand and asked her, "Will you bear my child?" She responded with a "Hell no." and InuYasha giggled, so did Sango.
