King of Hearts Ch.2:
As Kenshin lazily strutted into town he came to notice that Kyoto was very quiet, perhaps too quiet. The normally bustling market square lay quiet and deserted, and even the local wells, and recreational areas were surprisingly empty. For a time, Kenshin attempted to shrug off this feeling disquiet. However, in the end he was unsuccessful. In an attempt to find out what was going on, Kenshin ran to the local government building. He arrived panting for breath. Kenshin took a quick breather then nimbly jumped up the steps of the government building. Kenshin flung open the doors and shouted to see if anyone would reply, his only reply was silence. Kenshin sprinted down the hall, his hard wood sandals clacking loudly against the floor. He then began to slide to the governor's office. In mid- slide Kenshin reached out to the door knob, unfortunately, he miscalculated which sent him careening into the floor. A few seconds later a muffled "ORO" came out of the slump on the floor that was supposed to be the Hitokiri Battoussai. Remembering his purpose in the government building Kenshin grunted, slowly stood up, and wiped himself off. "Why does this always happen" thought Kenshin aloud. He took the last step towards the door and grabbed the doorknob, he paused for a second wondering if he wanted to know what was behind that door. His curiosity got the best of him and he turned the doorknob. What Kenshin found behind it he had not expected in all of his wildest dreams. Inside the room he found a squat diminutive figure (that looked nothing like an anime character) sitting at a desk looking over photos. The squat figure then noticed Kenshin and belched out a few words in a thick Australian accent "Top o' the mornin to ya mate! How moight I help you?" "Who the heck are you?" replied Kenshin in a puzzled but somewhat rude manner. "Why Oim Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter!"
