Children were usually known for their innocent nature. They never realized the dangers of reality until it was too late to save them selves from falling deeper and deeper into the hole of depression. No children were known to grow up faster then normal, become aware of the harsh realities, surrounded by the love from their families.

What of the children who had no loving family? The ones who lived on the street, starving and searching for food? What would ever happen to them? Some would be lucky enough to be found by an orphanage, given back some of what they had lost, the ones not so lucky? Did what ever they could for money.

That's how I lived my life. I was known as the local street rat because I had been living on the streets since I was about three. I had been left by my own mother and father.. They had left me to rot away, saying that I was abnormal and I would never result to any thing and they would not have anything to do with a freak who never aged.

I had found that they weren't my parents, of course. I didn't look anything like them from the picture I had kept with me. My mother had bright, wavy, blonde hair and light blue eyes and a large frame, and my father had curly brown hair with brown eyes and he was very tall.

I had long straight black hair and natural light blue streaks running though it. My eyes were purple but turned to a dark blue-violet color when I was in a certain mood. I had no name, as I was never talked to because the town people feared me. I was aging slowly, as of now, I looked to be about 17 but I was really double that, about 34 I guess. I still act like a child though; it humors some and scares others.

Everyone was afraid of me, and yet there was nothing I could do. I looked up as I saw a lady in front of me, she looked down and smiled slightly. She held out her hand to help me up. I looked at her weirdly, didn't she know that I was a freak? Why would she even want to be in contact with me?

"Hello, young miss! How are you today? Me and my friends are new in town and I was wondering if you would show us around? I would greatly appreciate it!" I took in her look, long dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. She reminded my of my mom slightly, except a whole lot nicer. She had on a pair of tan slacks and a white long sleeved shirt with a tan trench coat over it.

"Why do you want me to show you around? Everyone else is afraid of me, I'm just a local town street rat, lady." The lady's eyes saddened a bit, before she grabbed me and threw me over her shoulder.

"Get the hell off me you bitch! I don't need your hands touching me! What are you trying to do? I don't want to go home with you! Leave me alone!" The towns people were staring at the strange sight, the new traveler had their local street rat over her shoulder, while listening to the girls screaming protests and looking at the smile on the lady's face. I found it interesting that they did nothing, but then again, who ever would. Well, SHE might of, but she had moved away a few years ago
