We all know how useless school counselors are. Always telling us to do good
and school or we'll end up as bums working in some random fast food
restraint. And yet somehow with all of this you come out with a nice big
lollipop or in some cases a cup o ramen. Surely everyone has heard of these
utterly pointless speeches, but Naruto certainly had NOT as he marched
proudly up to the Ninja counselor, Iruka's door.
Naruto looked up and grinned as he pulled the cold metal handle down and walked in. Iruka sat there on his huge leather chair waiting for the young blonde haired boy to take a seat.
"Naruto--," Iruka began as soon as he was seated, but the young ninja cut him off in a panicky voice
"W-whatever it is! It wasn't me!"
Iruka suppressed a smile and then asked Naruto with a slight childish smirk on his face, " Naruto, do you even know where you are?"
Confused, Naruto looked up at the sign on the door. Ninja Counseller was written there in thick bold letters. The young blonde boy laughed in embarrassment and rubbed the back of his head laughing. Iruka smiled and handed Naruto a sheet of paper. Taking the paper Naruto blinked. It was a report from Kakashi about Naruto saying that he was lagging behind on his training and more boasting that working. Horror spread across Naruto's face as he looked into Iruka's very serious face.
"Naruto" Iruka started, "If you don't work harder. You'll never become Hokage instead you'll be poor working in a little shop."
Naruto blinked trying to let the facts sink in. he looked up at Iruka and asked, "Does that include ramen shops too?"
Iruka slapped his forehead in utter embarrassment and yelled, " Naruto do you know how serious this is!?"
Naruto laughed loudly, "I want to eat ramen!"
Iruka's eyebrows twitched as he watched Naruto laugh uncontrollably as if Iruka had said some kind of funny joke.
After what seemed like five minutes of watching Naruto laughing his head off he grabbed the youth's wrist and said, "Look, I'll take you out for ramen and show you how upsetting it may be."
Naruto smiled at the fact that he was going to be getting ramen later during the day and happily nodded as Iruka dragged him out.
