~*~Yeah, I know. Bad freeform style with uneven stanzas =\ eh.oh well. It's
not that great, but I think it's pretty in a sweet way =D These are the
final thoughts of Barbossa before he dies, thinking of Jack and how things
used to be. Yes, I know none of this happened, blah, blah, blah, but it's
slashish. PotC and characters all copyrighted to Disney, poem copyrighted
to me =P~*~

Falling, spiraling to inevitable fate,
Take me in your arms once more,
Lead me to Heaven's gate...

Don't let me fall,
Is my last implore.
Don't let me fall,
Down to this floor.

My vision blurs, my body grows cold,
All I see is you...
And I feel so old...

"Don't you remember when we first met?"
Was what I wish I could say,
But my mouth has run dry in this entire fret.
Kiss me once more before I lay...

The piston smoke clouds your face,
Forgive me...forgive me, love...
In your eyes I see remorse, only a trace,
Think of me; think of me, high up above.

Now I feel myself falling,
I feel my body break,
Then I hear you bawling,
And never do I wake.
