Chapter 1~

"Hey, B." Faith smiled at the look on Buffy's face when she showed up at her doorstep. Buffy was living in a small apartment with Dawn.
"Hi, Faith," Buffy said, "What are you doing in Italy?" Faith pushed past her and into the apartment. She was pretty amazed at how nice it was. Looked like she planned to stay there for a while.
"To see my favorite little blonde Slayer, of course"- Faith spied Dawn around the corner- "and her little sister." Things were pretty good between them, but there was still a tinge of tenseness there.
"Are you going to stay long?" Buffy had shut the door and followed Faith.
"Depends on you two. D'you mind?" Faith sat waiting for her answer with her legs swung over the armrest of the chair. Buffy and Dawn looked at each other. The brunette sister mouthed the words 'do you?' Buffy shrugged.
"You're our guest." Faith smiled, and threw her bag on the floor.
"Let's go slay." The dark Slayer picked up her stakes and pushed them into Buffy's arms, leaving her gaping after her.

"Seriously, what are you doing here?" Buffy wrapped her coat tighter around her.
Faith sighed. "You caught me, B. I've got no other place to go." The blonde looked at Faith. She really didn't have anyone else. She didn't have a family. Faith gave Buffy a raised eyebrow. "Don't get squishy on me, now." Buffy shook out her blonde waves.
"Negative. No squish here." There was a bit of a silent agreement between the two, not to talk about it.
The pair of Slayers walked down the alleys of Italy. It was a prime place for vampires. The alleys were dark, dank and nobody went down them. Their shoes splashed in the puddles, making little 'splish-splosh' sounds. Buffy and Faith walked in unison, making the splishes from their shoes like one. Faith turned sharply.
"What is it?" Buffy asked, not hearing anything. Faith closed her eyes, concentrating on her Slayer-sense. Buffy also tried to feel something.
"I thought I heard a 'splosh' when I should have heard a 'splish'," Faith said carefully. Buffy felt a cold rush run down her spine. She turned quickly and found her hand around the throat of none other than Ethan Rayne.
"Look what I caught." Buff smiled. She couldn't believe that he would come back to see her over and over. Faith stood by her with her arms crossed.
"Ah, bugger. Well, you caught me. Put me down, then." Buffy's hand stayed firm around his neck.
"Sorry, Ethan. Can't do that."
"Alright, take this!" He waved his hand and blue light hummed in its former path and he waved at the Slayers. The blue light hit them, and they fell back.
Faith and Buffy pushed themselves off the ground and into fight position. But Ethan was already gone.
"Where'd he go?" Buffy asked, looking around, her blonde ringlets bouncing. Faith was equally confused.
"Wanna ditch and go get wings?" Faith had an odd look in her eyes.
"We've only been out fifteen minutes," Buffy said cautiously.
"So.?"
"Let's go." Buffy and Faith linked arms and went toward town.
