Author's Notes: I was just thumbing through a poetry book, and I noticed how all those poems that spell out a word are extremely lame... But I gave it a shot, and POOF, this just popped up.

Shadows grace the dungeon floor
Nightmares lie below me;
Opening the darkness,
Worlds that clash in my head.
Falling beneath the surface,
Apparent insanity;
Light is gone to the forbidden.
Life is to be lived; yet...
Suicide is my truest desire.
~Snow Falls.~
Forbidden forever;
Eternally bound to demise.
A small figment of hope
Radiant as the sun...
Pierces the darkness.
A quick flash arises,
No more is it with me.
I can stare and wish... but...
Can I hold on any longer?
Denial of life.
Eating at my soul
A thousand worries
That have brought upon
Hallucination of purity...
~Fear, Panic, Death.~
Cold anxiety rises within
And I can admit that I'm lost again
Nevermore can I see the light...
It shines above the surface.
Telling me to arise.
But I can't will myself to move.
Ever-failing, falling.
~Can it be?~
Wherever there is light
Happiness is shrouded.
Another place... another time...
The soul within suffers.
I cannot rise to the surface;
Suffocating inside.
The ropes that bind me
Hold me tightly to decent.
I struggle, but they tighten...
Strangled cries escaping.
~What is this?~
Crawling into the darkness,
Reality of hope.
I find the light again,
Enough to set me free
Softly, the ropes are loosened.
Opening the light...
For I shall live again.
Even as I rise,
Caresses of hope
Surround my soul...
Trapping the darkness away.
Soft words are spoken...
Yearning for my heart...!?
~Cries of ecstasy...?~
Kindled thankfulness
Is opened for me to receive.
Silent... yet...
Satisfying my deepest desire.
~Kiss.~
Life flutters back;
Openly I submit.
Vibrant beauty flows,
Embracing me forever.
