A poem from Fugitaka Kinomoto to his daughter, Sakura.

DISCLAIMER: Nope. I don't own anything of Cardcaptor Sakura either. They'd be copyright to the people of CLAMP.

Father to Daughter

When you like in my arms
Your small hand fits into mine
Your little eyes are closed now
But when they open, they shine

You look so beautiful as you sleep
Even more when you wake
The room fills with a warm green
Pride I keepsake

Maybe when you grow up
You'll be something grand
A singer or actor
It's all in your hand

You smile in your sleep
Your hand grips to mine
Who knows what the future will bring
We'll take it one step at a time

As quietly as I can
I put you down in the cradle
I'm so sorry your mom couldn't be here
Because right now..
She's an angel

It's a little cheesey, but I thought I'd put this in since I only had one fic. Originally, it was a class assignment in literature, but I never turned it in. Heh, oops. Thanks, and please review.
