I know you're out there watching over me again tonight. I can see the small shadow that plays on my wall alerting me to your presence.
What do you think about as you watch over me? Do you think about your goal, or are your thoughts like mine? About the two of us one day, hopefully sharing one good memory instead of hurling insults back and forth. I would hope so, why else would you be here?
I want to turn around just to let you know that all this time I've been enjoying your company, hell, it's actually helped me sleep better. However, I'm afraid of what would happen if I do. I'm afraid you would never come to watch over me any longer and my restless sleep would no longer be a thing of the past.
Sadly I will never know until I act, so ever so slowly I turn my head to look out the window only to notice you are just about to leave. You take one last glance at my window and I try to keep my emotions in check as our eyes meet. Your face actually shows pure shock and nothing else, and I can't help but think how adorable it makes you look.
Before I can show any form of emotion I quickly turn back around but I don't go back to sleep. I continue to watch your shadow until it leaves and as it does a sad smile forms on my lips.
My angel has left me.
