Touching the Heart of the White Wolf A mysterious figure, sitting in the light of the caressing moon. I had been lost since earlier that day and thought that it would be best if I stayed in one place. Unknown to me, the piercing yellow eyes of a muscular, white wolf were watching me. I was sitting there in the middle of the forest around 11 pm. It was a summer night, not to warm not to cold. I was thinking about the forest. It had this eerie yet calm essence. I felt scared yet happy, probably because I felt eyes on me.

The wolf more than likely thought saw me as a skinny, blonde-haired, bluish-green eyed girl, around the age of 13. Well I was 14 but close enough.

::::::Three days passed::::::

I was hungry and thirsty so I went searching for some food and water. I ran into a boy around 15. "Hi," I say. He jumps a little and looks me up and down.

"Hey, you look like me except a girl and well longer hair," He says w/ a small smile.

" Yeah, and your eyes are brown and you're taller," I say while kicking the dirt.

"What's your name?" He asked while trying to look in to my eyes.

"It's Emma," I said still evading his eyes, "What's yours?"

"Joey," He says while casually lifting my head to see my eyes. I look into his eyes and he asks, "How long has it been since you've eaten?"

"3 and a half days," We say in unison.

"How'd you know," I inquired curiously.

"When I look into someone's eyes I can see into their souls," says Joey sadly," I bet you want to never see me again."

"No, actually I think its cool that you have that power," I say w/ a smile on my face, " look into my eyes if you don't believe me." He looks into my eyes and jumps backward.

"I've never met anyone who cared about me that much," Joey says surprised. I look down, blush, and think 'I didn't think he would be so upset w/ me'.

"We better start walking so we can find some food," I say.

"Yeah," Joey says. We walk side-by-side feeling a little bit awkward about earlier. Joey opens his mouth to say something then shuts it quickly. I keep glancing at him every few seconds wondering what he was going to say. I look up and see some apples in a tree and some blueberry patches near by.

"Hey," I say excitedly, " look food."

"You're right," he says happily. I climb the tree and pick some apples while he goes and picks some berries.
