Alright, I started this fic at one in the morning because I was very,
very angry. The reasons for me being angry (that being that I was hanging
out with my best friends I hadn't seen since Christmas, and because of a
certain @#$#%#$@%$#@$#@ I had to leave early) are entirely
different from the reasons for Felix being angry in this fic. But...there
you have it. Based off of the song of the same name.

"F-felix," she whispered, stumbling into my room. I don't think I had ever heard my sister sounding so desperate. I don't think I've ever heard her sound desperate at all. "Felix...I...I..."
"What's wrong, Jen?" I pulled back the covers. Now was not the time to pretend that I had been sleeping.
"Felix...he...I..." there were tears on my sister's face, molten silver running from her gleaming jewel-bright eyes in the moonlight from the window. She staggered the last few feet to the end of my bed, and collapsed.
I got up and went to her side, hugging her gently. "Jen...tell me. What happened?"
"I-I w-was on a d-date with G-Garet," she stammered between sobs. "H-he...he t-told me h-he doesn't l-love..." she had to swallow, as if the words were choking her, "m-me. H-he...he l-loves...Mia."
She sobbed softly into my shoulder, and I let her, stroking her hair gently.
While all of my sympathy and compassion went out to my sister, there wasn't any for Garet.
People always say that anger burns hotly, but mine was a cold, icy fire. I had never much liked the loud-mouthed Mars Adept, especially when he decided to date my little sister. But now that he had broken her heart...
Well, obviously some sort of payback was in order.
"Don't worry, Jen," I consoled her softly. "Everything will turn out alright."

The memory was still fresh in my mind when I found myself confronting Garet in the small forest outside of Vault.
I had challenged him, and now he was standing over me with a sword at my throat. I bared my teeth at him. His eyebrows rose slightly.
"Why did you try to kill me, exactly?" he asked.
"Because of Jenna," I snarled.
"Jenna?"
I glared at him. He didn't even remember. "I want to rip your heart out...just for doing that to her."
"What?" he looked mildly surprised.
"I want you to regret ever loving her," I continued. "I want to rip your hands off...gouge your eyes out...I want you to hurt just as much as she does, and more. A lot more."
"And how will that help?" he asked, his eyes serious. "Felix, I'm sorry I hurt Jenna, I really did. But I would have hurt us both a lot more if I had stayed with her, and she knows that too."
He dropped his sword and walked away.
And I cried at the bitterness of it all.

And there you have it. Now...I'm going to go do something else...review if you want, I guess.
