A/N: Hey everyone ^^ I really hope you enjoy this!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Over the black forest hung a muffled silence. The satin sky was barely visible through the thick storm clouds that churned threateningly above.
A tall figure limped into the small clearing below, followed closely by another. The first seemed wary of entering the clearing, as if afraid to expose itself. It halted. The second, a small creature named Jaken, whispered, "My Lord?"
"I prefer not to be in the open." the other hissed, his face livid with malice. Then he whispered, "When I get my hands on that son of a."
"My Lord, you need rest!! Your wounds need tending!" The other attempted to laugh but doubled up, rather, in pain. On straightening slowly, he glared, disgusted, at his now blood covered hands.
"Beaten by that foul.dirty." He flinched again and grasped the staff Jaken held. He knelt and stared at the ground.
"Lord Sesshomaru!" yelped Jaken. He helped his master lie down and began to examine the gash that ran down from his Lord's shoulder to his stomach. Streams of blood, like many dark serpents, slithered to the cold ground below.
"I swear," Sesshomaru snarled, "I'll kill him! I'll rip him open and force the innards down his own throat! That filthy half-breed! I'll kill him! I'll." He paused, breathing heavily and trying to endure the pain.
Jaken's eyes were wide with fright as he mended his master's wounds. "P-Perhaps." he stammered uncertainly, "if he hadn't had help from that human girl, my Lord."
He immediately fell silent, seeing the look of sheer hatred fall upon Sesshomaru's face. "Are you saying that.? Does this mean you.? Do you think that..." he shuddered, ".human could even draw blood from my body? Do you really think a mere human.? I can't believe you could think that a foul, pathetic human could defeat me. You shame me, Jaken!" Sesshomaru lifted his clawed and was about to strike Jaken when he heard something from behind him.
He sat up delicately, his hand still poised, and searched for the source of the noise. He knew of course what made it, but he couldn't see her in sight. "Jaken! Where's the girl?"
"I d-d-don't know, my lord," he stuttered, his eyes wide once more.
"Well, fool, find her!" he spat. Jaken scrambled to his feet and bowed, but then suddenly his master grabbed him and said, "Wait." Jaken whimpered.
"Yes my lord?"
"I have a plan."
