She-Wolf

Chapter I

Fury, happiness, affection, joy...all heard in a single howl. The joy of simply being. Of never wanting. No pain, sorrow, fear, loneliness, greed, wealth, power, or hunger. Only life. One howl, infinite emotions. Why can't life be the same? Why can't we forget everything but what we feel joy for? The wind on your body. The cool rain falling thickly from almost perfect clouds. The simple rush of running unclothed through the storm without worry or embarrassment, just running free. Alone or with your companions. Of simply standing with your love on the edge of an ocean cliff, the tang of seasalt mingling in the air with your treasure's scent. Of beautiful silence in the open air, watching the heavens and wondering at their passionate coldness, revolving through the endless darkness, lovely beyond recognition, yet still so cold, unfeeling.

All that in a solitary howl, in the joyful neighing of wild horses, the happy whines and twitches of a sleeping dog. In the unparalleled beauty of an unbound melody.

All that, I wish could be felt by all. From the lowly shuffling happiness of peasants to the cold beauty of royalty long since passed.

True freedom. No laws, yet not chaos. No boundaries and no enemies. Just emotion, wild, free, unbound, pure feeling.
