Disclaimer - Yu-Gi-Oh is not mine but hell I wish Bakura was! He's so cute! Fangirlish moment over now, this fanfic takes place after the incident with Kider at Pegasus' castle - when Yu-Gi loses his match and goes a little funny. I did not watch the next episode before I started writing this, so it's ended up a little shorter then I envisioned.
Note - In this I have made Bakura, uh . awkward a trait associated with the British when it comes to people in tears . I'm not disagreeing with it because I'm the same. Anyway, if I hashed up either character I'm very sorry but sometimes I'm not up in time to catch the series so .

Bakura and Yu-Gi sat silently, Joey and the others were getting food for them all as the two boys waited, Yu-Gi had been quiet and withdrawn for a time and Bakura was not the most talkative of the group at the best of times. With the near submission of the younger boys mind to the darker version of him, Yu-Gi had become slightly withdrawn. The silence still lingered and Bakura found himself wondering what was taking the others so long, but his mind provided the answer for him; the others expected him to have something to share with Yu-Gi but nothing came.
Yu-Gi looked towards Bakura; the British boy kept looking ahead, or at the ground, anywhere but at him and something made him feel that he disturbed Bakura on some level. Upset, he lowered his own gaze to the ground. "You were stronger then I was," A voice came quietly from besides him and he looked back towards Bakura. "You were strong enough to stop the other version of yourself from killing Kiber; I doubt I would be able to do the same."
He could not help but smile; the idea of being able to achieve something that someone else could not was a happy one. "I'm sure you could Bakura," He offered softly. "I wasn't alone in making him stop, but this idea that I could be so easily controlled, that . I nearly ." He broke down into a gentle snivel. Unsure of what to do Bakura moved a little closer, closing the space on the bench between them. "I nearly killed someone," Yu-Gi insisted, tears flooding his eyes slowly, Bakura wished someone was there to help him, to tell Yu-Gi what he did not feel it was right to tell him. Bakura rested a gentle hand on Yu-Gi shoulder and the smaller boy curled himself into the touch; tears from Yu-Gi's cheeks corrupted the creamy fabric of Bakura's jumper. "I nearly killed someone,"
Unable to think on what needed to be said, Bakura sat silently; considering what Yu-Gi had just learnt about his inner spirit self it was no great surprise that the younger boy was in tears. The ability to kill someone was not something to be taken lightly and it was a very scary thing to learn. "I nearly did it . I don't think I was even thinking about my Grandfather at the time . it just wanted me to win! By any means." The only sound coming from the two shortly was Yu-Gi's tears. Bakura took his hand from his shoulder and tried to pull away, feeling awkward, clumsy and inadequate.
Yu-Gi pulled away at that point, his hand rubbing away the tears as he moved up the steps towards Pegasus' castle; Bakura stood watching him leave but knew not to follow, right now Yu-Gi needed time alone. The tears on his jumper dried quickly and he wished that everything to do with pain would disappear as quickly.
