Dream Come True

I never knew what hit me
'Twas like waking from a dream.
I had been walking through the wood,
When I had seen that gleam.

I walked right over to it.
And much to my surprise,
I walked right through that gleaming thing
And saw the 'Other Side'.

I turned around and saw myself,
Staring back at me.
I stood there laughing at the thing,
That stood up tall before me.

I knew exactly what it was,
And where I'd ventured to.
I never thought I'd see the day,
When my wildest dream came true.

I heard voices at that moment.
But before I turned to go,
I waited for my heroes
To come where I lay low.

I was so excited; I'd get to meet the Four,
They were almost at the entrance,
I could see their shadows through the door.

Suddenly, I found myself in bed
I saw sunlight fill my room.
My eyes darted 'round: from roof to ground.
It was not a Dream Come True!
