Eucharist
So simple, yet so mystical,
All is still
A hand is raised
And my eyes gaze
By the Spirit from above
Upon eternal Love.
I fall to my knees,
Of His Mercy ask please,
I am not worthy of
This Savior cloaked in tan and red.
Jesus. Crucified. Dead
His Body pierced and His Blood shed
Sacrifice made Present here in bread and wine
I make the Sign
"Amen, I believe."
I say as I step forward to receive
And with Him Rise
I lift up mine eyes
Alive.
Revived.
Together,
One in perfect unity,
One Body in His Majesty
We humans give thanks,
Alongside all angels, sleeping and saints
For the Grace that fills our needs
And like dandelion seeds,
Unfurled
We then spread forth,
Tabernacles to the world.

I realize human words are insufficient to describe the joy of Communion.
Yet sometimes human beings like to try to put things into words that cannot
be said to understand them better. This is the result of just such an
attempt, the result of musings before and after Mass. A thought: Eucharist
comes from the Greek Eucharista meaning "to give thanks".
I also realize not all who may read this will be Catholic and I hope they
will read this with open hearts and derive a greater understanding of our
faith. See 1Cor11: 23-27, 12:27
