AN: I am branching out into different fandoms now. This is my first Matrix fic. I thought I would try
it. I've been totally inspired by Revolutions. This is an ongoing drabble series. I hope people will
like it.
WARNINGS: Spoilers for Revolutions. Takes place in that movie. And sorry for any spelling errors.-_-'
Part 1: Trinity
----------------------
I am not afraid.
Not anymore. Not with you there, I know that you can't see me, but you can feel me. I just need you
to realize that I am not afraid.
There is so much that I needed to tell you. Our eyes could telegraph feelings without words, but now
I wish that I would have used those silences and told you everything that needed to be said. Yet I
was silent.
There is no pain.
Not where I am going. There, no machines rule, no people are hiding, no cities holding thousands that
are about to die. I almost want to be there. But there is a difference from that peace that resides on
the otherside of my eyes, than from this place, it is a place without you.
However, I fear this mission will kill you as well. But where does the savior go when it is his turn to
rest his weary body? In to dreams?
I remember when I first saw you. You had only known me by my name, and you didn't realize that I was real. I
would watch you, trying to put you into context, into the mythical being that Morpheus had created. Cypher
would mock me and my distrust of the prophecy, but it came true, much to my chagrin. The Oracle knew. She
always did. I was destined to fall for you.
If you believe in destiny, that is.
I didn't, not then.
I do now.
I don't just want to fade. Remember me. Like I'll remember you.
Please, don't be afraid. I told you, I am not. You need to be brave now. You are the One, you are the one
that will save Zion and her people, you are the one to stop Smith before he destroys us all.
You need to say good-bye now.
Before I go, I need to feel you once more. Just to remind me that you are still there, that you still go on.
I need to feel you. I can't hold on much longer.
"...kiss me.."
This is my last breath.
I just wish I could look into your eyes once more. Because then, then I could be sure that this madness would
end. I am only left to shut my eyes to the greyness around us.
I'll miss you.
But it ends here tonight.
