I grabbed the tea off the stove brushing my hair out of my face. I
jumped a little spilling some of the tea hearing a gun shot. I just shook
my head nervously. I knew the war was near. My sister soon came running
in.
"Addy!",she said nervously"Im scared!"I managed to smile not wanting to scare her because she was young.
"It is okay,Megan."I smiled gently. Hearing my father come in. He was going to war soon and I've been I wreck since this war has started. He smiled genly his smile seemed to calm me. Ever sine my Mom was killed at the begining of the war,I've been depressed. She was out one day in town and the town got attacked. We were far from town. I thought that was good. I served the tea to mt father trying not to spill it.
"Thank you Addy."he said taking the glass from me and drinking it. "Now time for bed.Addy will tuck you in Megan." I nooded at him and Megan kissed him on the head and I walked her to her room and tucked her in,and kissed her on the cheek.
"Good night Megan."I smiled.
"Good night Addy!"she said loudly a big smile on her face her little blonde curls in her eyes. I smiled and closed the door slowly and blew out the candle. I sighed walking into the living room and sat watching my older walk my. He was 16 and I was 14.
"Hey Abby"he sighed tiredly. "Long day."
I nodded"Yes,.....everyday seems tiring with the war going on...."He smiled at me.
"I bet you everything will be over really soon."he said very sure of him self.
I nooded "Good night..and I hope your write."I smiled and plopped in my bed blowing out my candle and closing my eyes. It was about 2:00am and I was awakened by my brother and a terrified look on his face.I could here tons of gun shots. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I promise for my next one to be longer!!Please review!
