In the Gryffindor common room, Harry Potter, surrounded by swarms of girls was busy signing numerous photos of himself in which he was smiling and waving at everyone, strangely similar to Gilderoy Lockhart who's advice Harry must have obviously taken seriously.

"Oh Harry, tell us about the time you met Voldemort" pleaded Lavender "Which time are you talking about?" he replied, "There have been many you know. Do you mean first year, second year, third year, fourth year or fifth year?" "Start from the beginning, you're so brave Harry!" "Ok but before I do, here is a bit of trivia for those 'Harry Scrapbooks' which I know you all have. Last week, I finally defeated Gilderoy Lockhart and won the Witch Weekly's most charming smile award" at this point he stopped talking and gave them all a huge grin. They squealed.

"Oh Harry!" Hannah breathed "why ever did you only get the award this year? Surely your gorgeous smile outdid Lockhart's before this!" There was a murmur of agreement among Harry's admirers. "You're so handsome Harry!" Lavender said, her eyes flicking over his body reverently. "Oh, I know" he said, absentmindedly flicking a piece of lint off his shirt. "He's so modest!" Amelia said, "He agrees that he's good looking so casually" "Yes I know. Anyway, lets start the story!" Everyone began to make themselves comfortable around his chair and Harry began the story. "When I was one, you know I defeated Lord Voldemort - yes it was very traumatic, my parents died, I never quite got over that, anyway, what I did to vanquish was."

Little did he know but at that moment, Ron and Hermione, his best friends had just walked through the portrait hole and were not at all impressed with the seventeenth retelling of "The Harry Story" for the week.

"What's up with Harry lately? He's been acting like his broomstick's stuck up his ass." Ron muttered. "It's probably just his hormones" Hermione whispered back looking sceptical at her own explanation. "It's really getting on my nerves how he parades around acting like he owns the place, I can sort of understand why Snape doesn't like him" "He really needs to take a reality check and then be put back in the place that he belongs" "Maybe we should talk to him and ask him to shrink his head a bit," suggested Ron. "That sounds ok but you know he'd never listen to us, his best friends" "But he'd listen to them" Ron said, jerking his thumb as Harry's mob of admirers who were still ooing and ahing over his daring escapades. Hermione raised her eyebrows. "Ron Weasley, you're not half as stupid as you look" she said as if bestowing a great compliment. "Then again, they'd never listen to us either and they'd ever hurt Harry. That was a stupid idea Ron" said Hermione, Ron just shrugged.

"Wait!" Hermione gasped, "I've got it! I know what we can do! It'll get rid of the egotistical jerk and put us in the limelight at the same time" "What's the plan?" Ron asked suspiciously.
