Prologue
"No!" yelled a very angry Inuyasha.
"Why not!?" screamed an equally pissed Kagome. "I haven't been home in over a month! I have important tests to take, and I want to see my family again!"
"Collecting Shikon no Kakera is a thousand times more important than these damn "tests" of yours!" the hanyou exclaimed. "Wh.."
Kagome cut him off. "I'll have you know I won't pass school if I don't get at least a "B" on this exam!" (AN: I have no idea what grading scale they use in Japan. If someone could clue me in it would mean a great deal to me!)
"Keh," said Inuyasha. "I never went to school, and I turned out okay."
Kagome stared at the half-demon a moment before turning on him. "You turned out okay? I doubt you can even read! You call that okay? You're nothing but a... A filthy hanyou!"
Inuyasha looked heartbroken, but Kagome didn't seem to notice. "I..."
"Osuwari!" Kagome cried, and Inuyasha was pulled to the ground.
Kagome took this chance to dash to the Bone-Gobbling Well and hopped inside. A few seconds later, the rosary's spell wore off, but Inuyasha didn't get up. He lay still for a long time after that.

AN: Yeah, I know: It's short. But this is just the prologue! I promise to have the first chapter up soon! That is, if someone reviews. (hint, hint) Oh, yeah, sorry about making Kagome sound like a total bitch. In my defence, I kinda needed it for my story! I actually do like Kagome! She's only acting like this because she hasn't been home for awhile. She'll feel guilty in the next (or rather, first) chapter.
P.S. I have great need of a beta-reader. Any volunteers? I'm new to FF.net.
