~Tears~
Kenshin was lying on the ground in a puddle of his own
blood mixing with the falling rain, with Kaoru by his side.
The great Battousai was dying.
The blood and rain stained his clothes.
He was dying from his own sword turned against him.
It dug deep in his stomach causing internal bleeding.
Kaoru was sitting faithfully by his side with unstoppable
tears falling down her pale cheeks.
Just the very sight of the sword still in him caused her to cry more.
"K-Kenshin d-don't die! Y-you can't die..." Kaoru said in a heart broken whisper.
"Don't cy Kaoru, I'm not dead yet." Kenshin whispered hoarsly causing more pain
to go down his spine. "I love you Kenshin! You can't die yet!"
After Kaorus last statement Kenshin smiled warmly and reached up with his right
hand and cupped her cheek. "I love you too Kaoru." Blood leaked out of the corner
of his mouth as his hand fell from her cheek. His eyes started to glaze over, and
His eyelids slowly closed. Death has claimed the great Battousai.
Kaoru stood up and pulled his sword out of him.
"I'll be with you soon Kenshin." Kaoru said with tears. She raised the sword in the air with
a soft smile on her features, and stabbed herself in the stomach.
Her body silently hit the ground. The rain was falling softly on the two figures.
"I'll be with you soon my love." She kissed Kenshin's lips, then rested her head on his
chest, and silently waited for death to claim her.
