Tifa and Barret head to sector 7 glum, fatigued, and without Cloud. As they head back, Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie greet them unknown of what has just happened. "GOD! $#@! that Shinra," Barret yelled all of a sudden.
Wedge, being the sensitive type goes up to comfort Barret, "you know what, I bet that Cloud's still alive," comforting Barret with a little distance.
Barret looks over with a little concern at Wedge "… I know he's %$#!ing dead," came a gruff voice.
Tifa tried to keep a strait face walked to the hideout when a tear ran across her face. Barret still a little glum "AHH! %$@! HIM! Since he's gone, he'll have no pay," came an echoing yell across sector 7.
Biggs shrugged "he was a bit cold, but, getting killed? That's a bit unsettling," Biggs said with hesitation.
Barret looks over to the gun shop, "stock up, we're heading out tomorrow," pointing to the gun shop with his gun drafted into his hand.
Jessie looked over "I owe him my life, if he didn't help me in his first mission I wouldn't have made it out," Jessie sighed.
Barret was about to enter the hideout when… "hooo hooo hooooo," came a cheerful voice followed by the cocking sound of guns.
Biggs looking back "huh?" came a questioning sound from his mouth.
Barret looked back, seeing the thugs carrying guns started firing, but missed completely "oh, I ain't got no time for you," said Barret.
The thugs started to walk closer to the bar "hoo hoo hooo, I just needed that woman, you see, I'm looking for a bride," laughed the large man.
Quickly Biggs, Jessie, and Wedge drew their guns and backed away from the thugs. Tifa still inside the bar looked up hearing gunfire outside jumped to her feet and hurried outside. When the doors swung open she saw AVALANCHE fighting some thugs, "get your ass inside," yelled Barret firing his at the thugs on the porch.
Biggs' gun clicked showing it had run out of ammo, so he dropped it and ran. Running to a small post, a bullet came crashing into his left leg "gah," yelled Biggs.
A thug came up to Biggs and put his gun to his head "hmph," a noise came out of his mouth.
Everyone stood silent for a moment "hoo hooo hoooo! It seems we have a trade, the girl or the young soldier," laughed the large man.
Barret, looking frustrated "argh… fine," Barret kneeled down and waved his arm.
A smile came across the large man's face "hoo hooo hoooo! Wise choice, by the way, if you want do know your defeater, my name's Corneo," he said as he turned away and called a carriage to pick up Tifa.
"Damn!" came a cry from Barret
