Private Jack McNeil loaded up his Gauss
Rifle, and double-checked his CMC-300 Combat Suit, assigned to the elite
Terran Marines. Jack felt rather nervous about his first real mission. The United Earth Directorate had trained him to defend Earth and Humankind
from the enigmatic Protoss, the evil, vicious and ruthless Zerg. He and his fell comrades had been sent to reclaim the Koprulu Sector, which
was for many centuries under the rule of the Terran Confederacy, until
Arcturus Mengsk and his rebels came and overthrew the Confederacy, establishing
the Terran Dominion. And they were out here to defeat Mengsk, the
Zerg and the Protoss and control the entire Sector. The light
above him flashed green and Jack along with about 30 Marines, Medics and
Firebats came storming out, ready to defeat all who oppose them.
"Spread out!" yelled the Sergeant in charge of the platoon. Jack complied with the order and continued running. Suddenly a swarm of 40 Zerglings popped out from the ground and started charging toward the surprised group. They Firebats rushed forward, activating the massive back mounted flamethrowers, firing many of the little aliens. But a few still survived and jumped on two unsuspecting Marines. The Zerglings quickly clawed through the power armor. Blood was flying into the air, and splattered all near the Marines. Without wasting anymore time, Jack raised his rifle and pulled the trigger. The bullets hit three of the creatures and quickly, flesh and muscle was torn away from them. Two of the Zerglings were quickly blown away by the sustained attack. He realized that no other person was helping him kill the Zerglings, and turned around to see them firing at a massive Ultralisk. Jack was so full of fear and awe; he almost dropped his rifle and forgot about the Zergling that he failed to kill yet. He felt the ground shake a little and turned back to the Zerglings, and noticed that the Alien was about 10 feet from him. He raised his rifle quickly, just before the Zergling was about to jump. It jumped and he fired. He then was showered by the abomination's insides, and Jack feared he'd spill his lunch. This made him feel more nauseous as his suit's visor was down. The wave of nausea passed quickly and Jack turned again to the Ultralisk that everyone was trying desperately to kill. He activated a Stimpack and pulled the trigger on the rifle. His added firepower to the others did it. The Ultralisk fell to the ground.
"Nice shot, McNiel," said one of the Firebats. Jack was about to say his thanks, when a Hydralisk reered up behind the Firebat, and was about to slash with one of its dangerous claws. Jack shouted a warning and, by the time the Firebat turned around to see what Jack was yelling about, the Hydralisk's claw slashed down, and the Firebat split in half. Jack stared in horror for a few seconds, and then raised his rifle at the creature. He knew his attempt would probably futile, unless someone helped him. He thought quickly, and activated a stim pack. The extra energy provided by the stim pack helped Jack shoot faster. Within seconds, the deadly beast was no more. Such a grueling battle would normally be a feat for a normal person, but it was simply a day in the life, of the United Earth Directorate Marines. Eventually, would capture a fledgling Overmind, and used it to rule all the Zerg in the Koprulu Sector, except the forces of Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades. Also, later on, the Terran Dominion, the fledging Overmind, the Protoss, and the UED would all be defeated by Kerrigan, and as they say, the rest is history…
