Title: Stepping Out of Line Setting: pre-Voldemorts fall (pre-books) Spoilers: none Summery: one chappie Voldemort POV during a Death Eater meeting Disclaimer: I don't own anything....or, uh, have any money, so don't even bother suing me

I knew at once that Cyzenna Xavier was trying, albeit pathetically, to hide something from me. I, of course, could have easily used the Veritas curse and quickly found the cause of her dishonesty; but, truthfully, where is the fun in that? Watching her tremble and sweat, while trying not to stutter at my mere presence was amusing. Though probably not from her position, I suppose.
"...t-then we put the Crutatious curse on them, but they didn't know anything.. a-as we suspected." She added hurriedly, her eyes shifting.
"Is that so? Tell me, Cyzenna, did they scream an awful lot when the curse hit them? Did tears roll down Mrs. Finnegan's cheeks when she pleaded that they didn't know where they were hiding? Did they beg?" Cyzenna, to her credit, remained silent, her beatty eyes staring up at me yet refusing to meet my own. "Did you kill them?"
A long pause followed, the woman seemed unable to find her voice, her trembling ever increasing by the minute. I wanted to laugh, but I knew that would only further delay her answer. Finally a slow nod, barely noticeable if one had not been looking for exactly that, confirmed her answer. My face burned with anger. She was lying.
