Default Chapter: A Taste of the Real World

House in Tokyo, Japan"Hey kids! The long anticipated online game from the creators of The World has arrived, and guess what? It's based on the Harry Potter books by the popular J.K. Rowling! Yes! You can explore the world of Harry Potter online with tons of friends! And as a special bonus the creators of the game are giving eight lucky kids a chance to become the famous characters in the Harry Potter books! These characters are Harry, Ron, Hermione, Cho, Draco, Ginny, George, and Fred! Just buy the game and if you find a golden disk you win one of these characters! ((This is said very quickly)) Choices are random. So come and join the– "
A girl who looked about fourteen, quickly turned off the television and looked down at small white box with the words Harry Potter: Online Game written on it. Her delicate hands started shaking as she reached for the box. Ever so slowly, with great concentration, she slips off the protective plastic wrapping. Then she reached a hand into the box and pulled out a small CD holder. A strange reflection of gold shows in her eyes.
"I've won! I've won!"
The girl quickly stood up and ran into the next room, her light blue hair blowing behind her and her high heels clicking on the wood floor. She made her way around cardboard boxes and furniture that was waiting to be moved. Quickly jumping skillfully over a blue recliner, the girl reached the computer desk. She 'wirled the chair that was resting there around and sat down.
The girl then opened up the CD holder and carefully took out the golden disk. Shaking with excitement, she popped it into the computer disk slot and grabbed the virtual helmet that was resting on the desk. The girl gave a slight smirk as she saw the character she had won. "......perfect......"
Somewhere in the Streets of Tokyo
"Huff, huff, huff......"
He was so tired, but he had to continue running or they would catch him. Run, run......was that really all he did? He quickly turned the next corner, a small alleyway. Yes, almost home free. He gripped the paper bag that was in his heads closer to his body.
"Hey! Stop! Give us what you owe!"
He turned another corner and ran into an apartment building. He ran up three flights of steps and stopped in front of room 304. Pulling a small key out of his pocket he opened the door and ran in locking the door behind him. He could still here the yelling of the people who were after him.
"He must have come this way!"
"Maybe it was a trick!"
"Should we knock on all the room doors?"
"No that would be a waste of time! Plus people will get annoyed at us bothering them. Let's just go, we'll get him next time at school."
The fifteen year old's heart started to beat faster as he heard the footsteps fade away. He slumped to the ground and pulled out the white box that he was hiding in the paper bag. A small tear fell from his eye. "Please......let me win......"
He ripped away the plastic covering and opened the box up, talking out a CD holder. He slowly opened it up......the disk was golden!
A huge smile appeared on the boy's face.
