In this world, Newt Drifts with a damaged Kaiju brain and gets information vital for understanding the enemy…But there are many, many worlds with many different timelines. These are the what-ifs.

Sinon and Lucia never wanted to watch a world-record-setting brawl between kaiju and Jaeger in the streets of Brisbane from anywhere but their TV. That being said, the kaiju didn't give them much choice.

In which Newt gets a little too wrapped up in the work.

Memories hit differently after the drift. Meaning, sometimes he didn't know which memories were whose. You'd think he would. He knew his own mind, after all. Mostly. But the drift had changed everything. Sometimes he didn't know if they were his and he'd just forgot, or if he and Hermann's brain-juice had ripped through a memory blender and melded together - somehow.

Everything about Hermann was stupid.
