A/N: Takes place in Season 5 after FOREVER

Rain seemed appropriate. Her mother had only recently been burried, though the weather then hadn't suited it. The weather today did. Everything seemed to be going wrong. Was it just Glory, or was it her? All she knew was that something was different. That something had changed. More than just something. Her. She'd changed. She didn't know how though, and that scared her.

She hadn't spoken to anyone about it. She wouldn't. She wasn't even sure she knew what was wrong.

The girl tipped her head to give herself a better view of the clock. Dawn would be back from school soon. She'd have to make things seem normal. Seem okay. They weren't though. And it scared her that she didn't know why.

Things were changing. That was true. They always were, but this was different. She just didn't know how. All she knew was that this couldn't be any good.

If her mother had been here, they could have spoken. Her mother always understood her. Maybe not at first, but in the end, her mother was always there for her.

Her mother might have even been able to help her with the dreams she'd been having. Such strange ones too. Not the slayer kind of dreams though. These were different.

Her dull brown eyes stared out through the bars. Her cage. But that was what jail was. It was to punish you for the wrongs that you had commited. She had done many wrongs.

She was lonely. She got no visitors. She had made no friends, only enemies. Now she wished she could take that back. She needed someone to talk to. Something was going on. Something different. Even the air had a different scent to it.

The dreams she'd been having for one thing, they weren't the normal slayer dreams. These were different. And it scared her that she didn't know why.
