Prologue
New York City
"I lied to myself, it was over.it wasn't over." Max Payne thought, removing his finger form the trigger. "I could hear the police sirens yelling in my ears." he continued to think. "My life became to be sad.and.and." He couldn't think. Cops were already inside the building. "Freeze, NYPD!" four, perhaps five armed policemen arrested Payne, taking him downstairs to the police car. "You gave us one hell of a ride!" Chief Jim Bravura told.
Max saw Alfred Woden and many others staring and smiling at his arrest. Woden was to be eliminated, for Payne. He belonged to the terrorist group as Horne once did.
To accomplish Max's goal, he needed to be free.
He tried to escape from the hands of the insane cops, at least some of them were. This all happened in a New York minute.
The news was spread world wide, even to the farthest parts of Earth. Vladimir Lem was his only friend who could help Max to succeed in his hard life of pain and suffering.
His question: where was Mona Sax at this very moment, or did she face a tragedy and die.
Mona could have been a use for Max to get out of jail.
